Therapy for Trauma, Relationship Anxiety and Childhood Wounds Across Michigan

Hi I am Mel, I am a therapist providing therapy for adults and teens across the state of Michigan. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety disorders, and depression, particularly when emotional patterns feel overwhelming, persistent, or rooted in past experiences.

My approach is grounded in trauma-informed care and focused on helping clients feel safer in their bodies, more regulated emotionally, and more connected to themselves and others. Therapy is offered through secure telehealth or in Troy.

Who I help:

I work with people who:

  • Overthink Relationships

  • Experienced difficult childhoods

  • Survived abuse

  • Served in the military

  • Live with chronic health issues

  • Keep replaying their past and feel stuck

  • People-please

My Specialties:

Trauma Therapy

Whether you experienced a lifetime of stress or abuse or feel you recently went through something that rocked your world, trauma therapy addresses the immediate problems you are facing while focusing on integrating new skills and reprocessing the past.

Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety and stress affect the mind and body. I work with clients experiencing worry, panic, OCD, persistent worry and difficulty relaxing. You’ll learn skills to cope, get support and find ways to calm your mind.

Depression Therapy

Depression often shows up as exhaustion, poor sleep, weight changes and loss of motivation. Therapy focuses on helping you understand and address the underlying causes and support long-term change.

How Therapy Works

Virtual sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. I provide virtual therapy to adults throughout Michigan, and clients must be physically located in Michigan at the time of sessions. I also offer therapy in person in Troy.
